New Strategies for Getting More from Employees
by Celeste Simmons
Ever since the recession began, businesses started looking at new ways to get their employees to be more productive and better equipped to get their job done. As the economic down-turn continues, it is re-shaping the way employers train their employees.
A gallup poll entitled "Which Skills Hold the Secret to Success?" stated that the management skills we value most are our people skills and critical thinking skills.

The poll statistics suggest that employers value employees with the problem solving and decision making skills more than advanced use of computers. However, some of the valuable skills that are needed in the workplace of today are not taught in the typlical educational environment, but from a corporate trainer.
When we asked local business owners just HOW a corporate trainer has helped them in the past, they explained their experieince with a trainer as "beneficial and enlightening".
"The trainer introduced customer development classes and relational skills. He showed us how we could improve on our current customer base and helped us see management errors we had made in dealing with customers and employees." Confided R. Douglas of a Marietta Ga. security company.
Jeff Compton, a speaker of an inventive seminar series called "DRIV Strategies" focuses on motivation and communication strategies in the workplace. He calls this "energy with intent". His series shows you how to get more productivity in the workplace by teaching your staff how to recognize their personal energy source, and how to tap into it.
"By seeing the source of our energy, we can direct our paths to a greater outcome. This energy will change our lives and relationships; but at our jobs, it will change our work ethic and produce results."
Jeff states that his attendees "Get more out of relationships, more from their job and more for themselves". This series touches on the power of your hidden energy, and how to use your source. Jeff says that speaking with your customers on their level and understanding how they operate and communicate is the key to increasing your business profits as well. "Your energy source is the key to productivity. Without that understanding, you are missing out on clients, deeper relationships and personal achievement."
Enlisting the help of a corporate traininer may be an option for your company. Whether you choose an on-site seminar or off-site speaker, it may prove this to be the best investment your company ever made. __________________________________________________________________
